Finding the Narrative
in the Noise.
Live facilitation, executive calibration, and strengths-based workshops for mission-driven teams.
Data provides the structural coordinates, but spreadsheets cannot read a room.
The most valuable organizational insights do not emerge from an HR dashboard; they are unlocked through live, rigorous dialogue. Every team operates on a unique frequency, often clouded by institutional static, rigid bureaucracies, and misaligned talents.
My facilitation practice is built on two decades of navigating the complex space between frontline execution and boardroom governance. I do not impose standardized corporate templates. Instead, I utilize affirmative code-switching to act as a strategic bridge—connecting seemingly unrelated behavioral dots to foster authentic trust across highly diverse operational cultures.
Whether diagnosing friction in a 90-minute workshop or engineering a systemic realignment during a multi-day retreat, the objective is never to deliver a passive presentation. The goal is to spark an intuitive breakthrough. We identify the raw, instinctive talents in the room and dial in the exact mix required to turn organizational obstacles into a relentless rhythm of execution.
Executive Calibration
For C-Suite Leaders & Boards of Directors
A highly focused, strategic intervention designed to align high-level governance with ground-level operational reality. We tune the overarching strategic vision, balancing rigorous institutional demands with the human dynamics required to actually drive a workforce.
The Multi-Day Offsite
For Teams of 12 to 100
An immersive environment built for systemic realignment. Like hitting "The Wall" in a marathon, teams inevitably face structural exhaustion. We use this dedicated space to push through the friction, abandon legacy frameworks, and chart alternative paths forward. You leave with absolute clarity on how disparate individual strengths must be mixed to form a unified, high-performance partnership.
Rapid Prototyping Workshops
Half-Day or 90-Minute Interventions
Built for immediate impact. We bypass standard bureaucratic bottlenecks to map the instinctive capabilities of your people. This is a high-energy session focused on rapid pattern recognition, identifying operational shortcuts, and applying strengths-based development to your most immediate organizational challenges.
No trust falls. No agile buzzwords. Just a rigorous, unvarnished dialogue designed to unlock hidden talent and build resilient cultures.
Nick Jerez
Organizational Architect | Executive Coach
Eliminating the friction between executive vision and ground-level execution.
Nick Jerez is an organizational architect, executive coach, and the Founder of (through)collective. He specializes in human infrastructure design, partnering with executive teams to eliminate the friction between high-level institutional vision and ground-level execution.
With a career spanning over 15 years across complex, mission-driven organizations, Nick currently serves as the Director of Human Resources at Japan Society, where he manages organizational design, strategic planning, and engagement with a 50-member Board of Fortune 50 executives. He previously directed People Operations at NYC FIRST and managed full-stack business operations for a decade at U3 Advisors, delivering systemic solutions for major universities and municipal economic development projects.
Nick’s practice fundamentally rejects the legacy model of HR as a static compliance function. As a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach, he employs a methodology he calls "Narrative Calibration." By applying rigorous data analysis to complex interpersonal systems, he helps leaders isolate the operational signal from the noise, tuning the frequencies of a leadership matrix to achieve maximum clarity and impact.
A native New Yorker from East Harlem and a first-generation college graduate, Nick brings an unpretentious directness and a highly calibrated analytical lens to his work. His core operational philosophy is rooted in the belief that human services and organizational design must meet people exactly where they are to systematically eliminate barriers to their potential.
Nick holds a B.A. in Political Science from CUNY Brooklyn College and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Cooke School & Institute. Outside of his executive mandates, he is a 14-time marathoner and a lifelong musician and audio engineer—disciplines that heavily inform his approach to systemic pacing, endurance, and structural harmony.
